When I first got acquainted with photography, “fall photography” was one of the most confusing terms I came across. Honestly, I don’t know what it means because, in Australia, we don’t say “autumn”, we say “autumn”. So the term threw me at first. But it’s also confusing given the fact that in the southern suburbs of Sydney, where I grew up, there’s not a huge variation in the color of the trees nor the spectacular burst of reds, yellows and oranges. you get in other places. The first thing I really like about this video is that he doesn’t ask you to buy any new equipment. One might assume that you need some specific filter for your lens or the like, but Denney isn’t asking for anything like that. And if you live in the US, he’ll show you the newly released 2022 foliage prediction map, showing you exactly where and when foliage falls across the country. Usually you only get a kaleidoscope in about a week or so, so knowing exactly when it’s needed is extremely important.
