Dogster’s Favorite Christmas Food

Peanut butter bite
Ingredient
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup all-natural smooth peanut butter, no added salt, sugar or xylitol
- ¼ cup honey (not raw honey)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 cups flour or rice flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Direction
- In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients until the dough is firm; If it is too sticky, mix in a small amount of flour.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until stiff. Roll out the dough to a thickness of half an inch and cut out shapes with a cookie cutter.
- Place cookies on baking tray ½ inch apart. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
- When done, the cookie should be solid. Turn off the oven and let the cookies sit for 1 to 2 hours to harden.
Yield: about 40 2-inch cookies.

Banana Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredient
- 1 cup flour or rice flour
- ½ teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 cup all-natural apple sauce, no added sugar or xylitol
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 3 bananas, mashed
- 1¼ cups honey (not raw honey)
- 1 3/4 cup quick-cooking, uncooked oats
Direction
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
- With a teaspoon, pour each spoonful of batter onto a baking tray, about 1½ inches apart. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes.
- When done, the cookies must be solid. Turn off the oven and let the cookies sit for one to two hours to harden.

Cranberry Mint Holiday Cookies for dogs
Make: 10 mini cookies
Ingredient
- ¼ cup coconut flour
- ½ cup of water
- ½ cup unsweetened fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons organic, unsweetened apple sauce (make sure the apple sauce doesn’t contain any added ingredients)
- ½ apple (peeled, cored and chopped)
- 1 flaxseed egg (1 tablespoon flaxseed mixed with 3 tablespoons warm water)
Direction:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make flax eggs by mixing ground flaxseeds with warm water in a large mixing bowl and whisking. Let it sit for 10 minutes until it forms a gel-like paste.
- Add apple sauce, chopped apples, mint, and cranberries. Stir to combine.
- Combine the coconut flour and water and stir again.
- Pour into ready-to-eat cookies or cut them out and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
4.Broth and Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredient
- 2 cups, plus 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup low fat dog bone broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional extras include 1/4 cup cooked/shredded chicken, 1/4 cup washed/shredded apple. Make sure you can still roll the dough out.
Direction:
- Preheat oven to 325F
- Add broth, eggs, and 2 cups rolled oats to a mixing bowl and mix well. Add remaining oats and combine.
- Pour mixture onto wax paper or floured surface and knead until dough is firm.
- Fold the optional extras, pressing out to about 1/2 inch thick
- Cut or use cookie cutters to shape and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake until edges are golden brown, about 17-20 minutes.
- Let them cool before serving. Store in a sealed container.
