The artist of the German TV show ARD says the planet is warmer… ”167,000 deaths colder” – Frustrated by that?

Shortly before Christmas, variety artist Dieter Nuhr regularly appears on the German public television channel ARD and looks back on the year. This is also the case for 2021 and, in addition to the topic of Corona, climate is once again on the agenda:

We have a recording of the show here or parts of it because it will disappear from the ARD media library after 6 months. This is also to document how Mr. Nuhr sees 2021. Nuhr has become a figure to be hated by some circles since he criticized Fridays For Future and also Greta Thunberg. There are frequent calls that go viral on social media asking his broadcaster to cancel the show.
We were very high on the cancel culture scale. Here are excerpts from Nuhr’s views on climate:
But the biggest surprise (in the House of Commons elections) was the generation of first-timers. Since the climate summit in Glasgow, it is clear that we will miss the target by 1.5 degrees. Smart people already know that. The heads of state of Russia and China weren’t even present, because of course, they couldn’t make it in time. Xi Jinping must wash the color. Vladimir Putin still has to return the consignment bottles – it can’t be delayed. My hope is the president of the United States, he has a super idea, he says, “God save the planet” and then he falls asleep. Well, someone has to do it, lest I get sick by relying on God.“

By the way, 5 million people die every year because of the weather. 1/10 of all deaths can be attributed to extreme heat. 90% of the time it’s too cold. I found that interesting once. There were 116,000 more heat deaths each year, no joke, but also 283,000 fewer cold deaths – a total of 167,000 undead. The number of people who die from cold is 4.5 times higher in this world, and the Barcelona Institute of Global Health says the figures show the total number of deaths will fall in the coming years. That’s good news.
