The 2025 BMW i4 starts at $58,475, with some models getting increased range.

The 2025 BMW i4 is on sale now with slightly updated exterior and interior styling, along with noticeably better range on some models.

Both the i4 and the 2025 BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe petrol models get new headlights, as well as available taillights laser illuminated accents previously seen on the M4 CSL, a limited edition of the M4 petrol-powered two-door coupe. New exterior colours and wheel designs are also introduced across the range.

Inside, the i4 gets a new steering wheel design and some new interior trim options. It still has a curved display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen, running the BMW iDrive 8.5 infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto still keep the standard.

Single motor rear wheel drive i4 eDrive35 It’s the base 2024 model that isn’t listed on the 2025 i4 configurator. The cheapest model listed is the i4 eDrive40, which starts at $58,475 with a mandatory $1,175 destination charge. That’s $600 more than the equivalent 2024 model, but $5,100 more than the 2024 eDrive35.

The eDrive40 also gets a single-motor powertrain, with output unchanged from the previous 335 horsepower, but BMW now lists range up to 318 miles compared to 301 miles before. BMW also continues to offer the dual-motor all-wheel-drive xDrive40, which starts at $63,475 (up $700). Like the eDrive40, power (in this case, 396 horsepower) remains unchanged. But BMW now lists a lower maximum range 287 milesdown from 307 miles previously.

The i4 M50 performance variant tops the list again. This dual-motor model is rated at 536 horsepower—also unchanged for 2024. Estimated range drops just two miles, to 267 miles, while the price increases by $1,000, to $71,875.

While the i4 and other current BMW electric cars share platforms with internal combustion models, the automaker will soon launch Neue Klasse electric vehicle line based on a new architecture, starting with an electric SUV is expected to begin production in Europe in 2025.
