Tesla Model 3 recalled to fix seat belt error
Tesla remembering 326 examples its Model 3 electric sedan due to a problem with the rear seat belt assembly.
The recall affects Model 3 vehicles manufactured between 2017 and 2022.
“Due to the design of the vehicle, servicing for some components requires the removal of the second-row left seat belt buckle and the center seat belt,” the company said in the recall notice.
“During maintenance, it is possible that the seat belt & anchor were re-inserted to the fastening bolt incorrectly. As a result, seat belts may not function as intended.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you will need to make an appointment with your preferred authorized Tesla dealer for a free component inspection and repair.
This Australia-focused recall is part of a broader problem forcing Tesla to recall more than 24,000 examples in the USas reported by Electrek last weekend.
