Tesla has confirmed that Cybertruck, Roadster and Semi are all postponed through 2023, as the company grapples with supply chain delays and chip shortages. CEO Elon Musk said by 2022 the company is targeting growth and output. Musk also said that The development of the $25,000 EV hasn’t started yetand he says the disruption to the transportation costs of the company’s fully self-driving system is far greater.
Bentley announced Wednesday that it will produced its first electric car at its existing plant in Crewe, UK, by 2025. That requires a plant upgrade that will also reduce the environmental impact of all vehicle manufacturing operations. Bentley plans to produce an entire line of plug-in hybrid or all-electric vehicles by 2026, with all-electric vehicles by 2030.
Bridgestone has announced plans for EV chargers at select Firestone service locations, along with a new effort to deliver maintenance and repair for electric and hybrid vehicles. It was initially just a few major metro areas, but it’s an indication that the aftermarket is strengthening revenue possibilities for tram service.
