With nearly a decade and a half of experience in the ring at the professional level, Terence Crawford admits to seeing the light at the end of his Hall of Fame tunnel.

However, even as his near-ending road gets closer, the current WBO weight belt holder believes he has a lot more to do. Topping his long list of goals is his dream of one day becoming the undisputed champion for the second time in his career.

If the Omaha, Nebraska, native is successful, he will consider hanging up his gloves and avoiding fighting in his late 30s. While Crawford is considered by most to be the best boxer in the tournament, many have begun to notice Jaron Ennis.

The 147-pound 24-year-old candidate continues to see his stock soar. Most recently, in what was seen as a ladder match, Ennis easily handled business ahead of respected veteran Thomas Dulorme and former champion, Sergey Lipinets, both of whom halted before the final bell rang. up.

Even though Ennis has only just begun to receive the money on time, Crawford revealed that he’s always kept an eye on him. In fact, with so many close friends competing for both boxers, Crawford openly admitted that Philadelphia might be on its way to stardom.

“He was so talented,” Crawford said in an interview on The Porter Way Podcast Clips. “The guy is skilled. I’ve been following this guy since he was an amateur. He’s coming, that’s the one they always compare me to because he can go both ways and things like that. When I continued to follow him, I was like a man, this guy is good. I always say that he is very talented. I tip my hat to him. He’s doing what he needs to do to get his name out there. He will also be next. ”

At 34, and on the most impressive win of his career, his tenth stoppage-time goal against two-time former title winner Shawn Porter, Crawford is more interested in facing the upper echelons of the league. However, while Crawford’s current career path makes the possibility that he will ever step into the ring with Ennis, he doesn’t rule it out entirely.

“You never know what the future might hold.”
