Ténéré 700 Rally 2023 ends at Broken Hill
Tenéré 700 Rally 2023
The Ténéré 700 Rally 2023 saw riders put to the test by dry and dusty conditions as they covered the 2000 km in five days for the event before concluding with a refreshing beer at the Zone. Broken Hill Resort.
But all 52 riders returned safely with minimal fuss – a testament to the reliability of Yamaha’s 689 cc parallel twin ADVs.
“It’s great to offer these passionate Ténéré 700 owners an outback adventure not only as a fun challenge, but to showcase the capabilities of their bikes.” YMA Marketing Director Sean Goldhawk said.
Despite the conditions, protesters crossed the kilometres, starting in Broken Hill, NSW and leading to Wilpena Pound and up rock garden trails around Arkaroola Wildlife Reserve.
From there, the group headed north to Cameron Corner for an overnight camp, followed by a final 500km run back to Broken Hill via Tibooburra and Silverton. Navigation has been achieved with GPS allowing riders to complete the course at their own pace.
The event is the third in a series of Ténéré 700s-only Rallyes run by Yamaha’s favorite ADV event organizer, RideADV. This five-day protest was followed by two-day shorter events in QLD, NSW and VIC in 2023.

“Absolutely enjoyed the experience, well organized and supported. Not a single glitch throughout the entire five-day event. Will definitely sign up for another trip.”
The next Ténéré 700 race takes place in Esk, QLD on September 11.
