TCU-Georgia College Football Playoff game betting trends



January 9, Georgia bulldog will undertake Horned Frog TCU in the ninth edition of College football playoff (CFP) National Championship Game.

Georgia opens with 13.5 favorites at Bet FOXwith an open Over/Under (total) ratio of 61.5.

According to FOX Sports Research, this is the largest spread for a title game since the BCS founded a game in 1998. The previous high occurred when Miami was 12 points ahead of Ohio State in the Game. 2002 BCS Championship.

Kirby Smart & Co. will appear for the third time in the game, lose Alabama in the 2017 season and then beat Tide in the national championship last year. The TCU, on the other hand, will make its debut in the big dance under first-year head coach Sonny Dykes.

  • In games where Over/Under is greater than 60, Under is hit in four of the seven games (one push)
  • Georgia is looking to become the second consecutive national champion in the BCS era that Alabama has done so in 2011 and 2012.
  • Alabama did so in 2011 and 2012

Since the start of CFP (2014):

  • Favorites are 3-5 ATS and 5-3 SU in the championship match
  • Favorites of the six pluses are 1-3 ATS and 2-2 SU in the title game
  • SEC teams are 4-5 ATS and 5-4 SU in the championship match
  • The Big 12 have never had a team in the title game
  • The #1 team in AP Poll is 3-3 ATS and 2-4 SU in the championship game
  • Team #3 in AP Poll is 3-3 ATS and 2-4 SU in the title game
  • Tai was successful in five of eight national championship matches (one push)
  • In games where Over/Under is greater than 60, it is split 1-1, along with a push in three combinations
  • Georgia is 2-0 ATS and 1-1 SU in the championship game
  • Bulldogs are looking to become the first back-to-back national champions in the CFP era
