TC Trucks opens new Foton and JMC showroom in Bukit Indah, JB – Vigus Pro pickups on sale there
TC Trucks Sales (TCTS) has officially opened its newest showroom in Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru. Subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings said that the new showroom – which will serve both Foton and Brand JMC – shows the company’s commitment to expanding its network in the southern region.
Located along Jalan Indah 15/2 in Taman Bukit Indah, Iskandar Puteri, TCTS gallery has a total construction area of 2,912 sq.ft. and can display a light commercial van and a pickup truck, with a customer lounge. The location was chosen because of its growing population, proximity to Singapore and the region’s real estate development scene.
“With our new showroom in Johor, TCTS we look forward to being able to better serve our customers, and grow our business in this area. This new gallery is part of our efforts to improve our network and provide ease and convenience to the community. We will continue to strengthen and upgrade our sales and service operations to provide the best services to our customers,” said Law Ah Tiong, TCTS Sales Director.
Tan Chong holds the rights to the Foton commercial vehicle in Malaysia as well as the JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation) brand, through another subsidiary called Angka-Tan Motors. Foton provided heavy truck (Auman) and light trucks (Aumark) here, while JMC entered Malaysia last October with Vigus Pro 4×4 pickup truck.
TCTS said sales of Foton trucks and JMC pickup trucks “have been gaining momentum as an alternative for business operators, especially in these challenging times, by providing innovative and reliable products with service and spare parts availability”. The TCTS ‘3S’ network consists of two campuses in the Klang Valley, three in the South region, three in the North region and eight in East Malaysia.
The JMC Vigus Pro, China’s second best-selling pickup truck, sold for RM98,888 without insurance. Assembled domestically by CKD at Tan Chong’s Serendah factory, it is powered by a 141 PS/340 Nm 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine with a geometry variable turbocharger. The ‘Puma’ engine is mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and a BorgWarner 4WD system with a low-range transmission.
