TAA raises $180K in holiday giveaway


A month-long effort to raise funds for 81 TAA-accredited organizations and thousands of Untracked Thoroughbreds, TAA’s Holiday Gifting Campaign, ended December 31, resulting in the donation contributed $180,000 for accredited aftercare.

TAA President Jeffrey Bloom said: “It is encouraging to see such enthusiasm for our holiday fundraising. “Thank you to everyone who donated to TAA’s Holiday Gifting Campaign. It takes a lot of funds to care for retired athletes in our industry, and large donations like this one. critical to TAA’s ability to support its accredited institutions.”

The campaign features 14 days of single match day donations with match amounts ranging from $500 to $10,000. The 2022 match sponsors are as follows:

The holiday giveaway campaign is not only seen as a success in terms of donations, but also as an exciting opportunity for TAA to expand its network of industry advocates. Over 70% of donations collected during the Holiday Giveaway Campaign come from first-time donors.
