Switch owners can now spend some time in the Underworld. Bandai Namco announced that Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Now available on Switch. It was first released in 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Like other Sword Art Online game adaptation Alicization Lycoris combines the events of the anime and the novel to suit its unique timeline. As in the original, Lycoris begins when Kirito wakes up to find himself trapped in the Underworld, a virtual world populated by intelligent AI – not realizing that they are living in a computer structure. Kirito meets friends on his way into contact with the outside world, quickly forming friendships with Underworld natives such as Alice, a “Knight of Integrity”, and Eugeo, who helped him fight against Authoritarian administrator. Lycoris far from the “rule” at the end of that battle, with Kirito, Alice, and Eugeo remaining facing a new set of crises for the Underworld. To solve it, they will need to call some of their real-world friends like Asuna, Sinon, Lyfa, etc., as well as explore different parts of the Underworld. At the helm is Medina, a young Knight of Integrity and a new character in the original game.
Switch version of Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris includes the base game, but Deluxe version added a Season Pass, which allows players to expand two stories and a bonus skin. The first expansion, released in 2021 on PS4, is The Bloom of Forget-me-not, a story focusing on Kirito and Eugeo. The second expansion, Bloom of Matricariaexposes Kirito to a new threat: A crisis that will destroy the Underworld itself within 100 daysif its inhabitants are not strong enough.
