Even in the fourth season, Strange things has attracted as much attention in the media as when it first debuted and took the entertainment world by storm. Right now, my social media feed continues to be filled with songs from the show (Kate Bush being the top tier) or ’80s band-inspired costume videos watched in program. We’ve pretty much talked about 90s and early 2000s fashion on Who What Wear, but let’s see Strange things made me realize the ’80s deserved more attention.
Much of my focus on the show has been on the suspenseful adventures of the characters, though I couldn’t help but be intrigued by each character’s tech-filled suits. Whether it’s Steve Harrington and Nike’s denim moments or Nancy Wheeler’s exaggerated necklaces, I wouldn’t mind adding a few ’80s-inspired trends to my wardrobe. There are a lot of trends I won’t bring back (I’m looking at you, acid washed denim and puffy bangs), but I’ve listed five below that I plan to wear again in 2022.
