Stronach faces serious criminal charges in Canada
A Canadian Press story published on the Toronto Star website reports that multiple Eclipse Award winning owner/breeder Frank Stronach has been arrested on five charges related to a sexual assault investigation.
In a press releasePolice in the Peel Region of Ontario, Canada, said Stronach has been charged with one count of rape, one count of indecent assault on a woman, one count of forcible confinement and two counts of sexual assault. The incidents date back to the 1980s and most recently last year, the release said.
“(Stronach) has been released with conditions and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date,” the release said.
Stronach, 91, of Aurora, Ontario, was charged on June 7, police said.
BloodHorse could not immediately reach Stronach or his legal representative on Friday night.
