A pregnant dog was rescued just before giving birth. A man and his wife were having a meal when they noticed a stray dog nearby on the sidewalk.
The man, Jacks Anderson, noticed that she continued to look in their direction, but did not approach them for food. Instead, she just continued to lie under the barricade of the counter, watching them eat their food.
However, when the stall’s owner noticed the dog was nearby, she quickly chased it away.
Jacks noted that the dog was clearly scared, and she quickly ran away and was never seen again. But then when Jacks and his wife finished eating, they found the lost man had reappeared.
However, now that they were able to get a full look at her, they realized that she was pregnant. They knew they couldn’t leave her and so they chose to help her.
Jack’s wife goes to the pregnant stray who is worried and keeps her distance. Jack’s wife puts the leftovers on the ground, hoping that she will take the food.
Jacks’ wife stated on TikTok, “She’s sly, but we can see some of the scars she has, so I understand why she doesn’t want to take the risk.”
In the end, the stray dog ate the food and then returned to earn more. The wife was able to feed the children herself, bringing her closer to and trusting those who were trying to help her.
Very quickly, the dog realized that they were trustworthy and she allowed them to help her. They even made her get in their car. That’s when the dog, whom they named Poppy, realized she was in safe hands.

Poppy immediately settled down as if she knew right away that her troubles were over and she was in good hands.
Jacks shared on TikTok, “I started making a video of my wife comforting her, and I realized that Poppy was in tears. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a dog, and it certainly made an impact. ”
The couple took her for a medical evaluation. While at the vet she was treated for worms and fleas, but other than that, she was healthy and they were able to take her home.
Poppy has settled into her family quite well, her personality coming out as she becomes more and more comfortable with her new family. Initially, she intended to support the couple until the birth of a child. However, they were so in love with her that they thought of giving her up.
As Jacks and his wife explain, “Poppy will stay with us. We are always learning more about her and building trust with her. I don’t want to send her to someone else to make her go through that again. She got an easier job. ”

Eventually, Poppy went into labor and gave birth to some adorable puppies. She will take care of them until they are old enough and old enough to go to their own permanent homes.
As for Poppy, she had a loving forever home with Jacks and his wife. We are so happy for her!
