Minecraft will roll out a new update in 2023, now known as “update 1.20”. This update is still being worked out, and Mojang said the community will be involved in the naming process and more. Here is a brief summary of what was introduced in this segment of Minecraft Live 2022:
New playable avatar
Steve and Alex will be joined by a bunch of brand new characters, here’s what it looks like:
New Arrival: Hanging sign
New wood set: Bamboo
In addition to the new Bamboo block set, players will also be able to use this wood to craft a bamboo raft.
New block: Perforated bookshelf
New Mob: Camel
“Roadtrip! This tall, scary crowd has space for you and a friend. Camels are found in desert villages, but it’s up to you to locate a friend!”
Update 1.20 beta/snapshot/preview will be made available to Minecraft users in just a few days, with the full update coming in 2023.
