Fresh from winning a thrilling draw in the two-match Test series against Australia, Sri Lanka will now take on Pakistan in two Tests, starting with the first match at the picturesque Galle International Stadium in Saturday, July 16. Captain Sri Lanka Dimuth Karunaratne confirmed that Oshada Fernando will open matches with him while Dhanajaya de Silva will also return to the team, after recovering from Covid. Pakistan, on the other hand, named their playing team with Salman Ali Agha set to debut. He joined the team instead of the veteran fighter Fawad Alam.
