ONE South Carolina The teen is being called a hero for saving his siblings from being drowned by their own mother after successfully killing another of his young daughters.

teen’s mother, Jamie Bradley-BrunMackaya Bradley-Brun, 6, 37, is believed to have drowned early Friday morning at their home on St. Helena, Theo Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Police Chief PJ Tanner said at a news conference that Bradley-Brun tried to drown Mackaya’s eight-year-old sister before their teenage brother jumped in and saved her.
Sheriff Tanner told NBC News: “She was protecting her family when there was no one else. “Her bravery is amazing.”

South Carolina mother held without bond, charged with murder, attempted murder
The unnamed 16-year-old is said to have been woken up by screams in the middle of the night. Authorities said she witnessed her mother trying to drown the 8-year-old child.
Now, she is said to have saved her sister’s life.
“She had the ability and courage to use her own strength to get her eight-year-old brother” to safety, Tanner told NBC. “She was calm enough to know she needed to call 911 because she knew her other sister was in the house.”

Tanner gave no possible motive but added: “I know what happened and it’s pretty horrible.”
According to one GoFundMe Organized on behalf of the family, “KayKay” is a “joyful and energetic girl with a kind spirit.”
The description continues, “Her two older sisters are her best friends, and she really loves her family and cousins. As a child, she was a protective, courageous little girl who loved to dance, sing and play with her family.
