A new game is being developed based on Seven Deadly Sins (also known as Nanatsu no Taizai). It will be an open world action RPG. Developed by Netmarble, the operators of Lineage 2its official title is Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.
Korean game store Inven posted the announcement trailer on his Youtube channel.
Trailer for Seven Deadly Sins: Origin presents a seemingly seamless, large-scale game world. Both terrestrial and underwater areas appear. The characters are shown participating in combat against large monsters as a team. They also fight through changing weather conditions and at different times of day. Other characters are seen gathering resources and using special abilities to glide through the air. One part shows Meliodas summoning Diane from the menu to assist in the construction of a stone bridge. Meliodas then climbs the new bridge and climbs the rock wall to end the trailer over a large landscape.
Seven Deadly Sins: Origin seems to be related to the other one of Netmarble Seven Deadly Sins game, Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross. That game, that Released in 2020is a more traditional turn-based RPG. Source there will be a new origin story and a new protagonist, Tristan. The nature of the game world will allow the player to interact with and control other characters in the series.
Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is being developed for mobile, PC and console platforms. Netmarble does not specify a release date or target platform.
