Scary dog found in Springs cemetery comes back to life after seeing familiar faces

A small dog spent about a year near the cemetery, but no one knew where it came from. Some people have kept an eye on her from afar, but the puppy refuses to let anyone come near her. However, as the dog became braver, people feared the puppy would put himself in danger, such as wandering the streets. So they know it’s time to seek professional help.

Fortunately, an animal rescue team successfully brought the dog in and brought her comfort. And they soon discover that she is not a stray. She has a chip!

Scared dog defends itself

A woman who lives across the street from a Texas cemetery is informed Nicholas Pet Haven about a stray dog. She said she had noticed the little dog that lived there for about a year, but the dog was too scared to approach. As the dog became braver, it continued to venture closer to the road, so the woman worried for the dog’s safety.

When rescuers arrived on the scene, they realized that the woman wasn’t the only one looking for the dog. Dr. Harshivinderjit S. Bains, who was opening a clinic nearby, kept her safe. He gives her food, water, bed and shelter, but the dog refuses to let him touch her. He wanted to take her home when he had completely won her trust.

But as the weather turned colder, Dr. Bains knew that Nicholas Pet Haven was the safest place for the dog. Some animal lovers from the rescue team set up a trap for the dog, and it was captured that night. The poor dog is blurred and covered with ledges, and she cringes when people approach.

The dog was overdue for a bath, and soon after, rescuers discovered that she had a microchip. She’s not a stray, but instead, she’s a lost dog named Truvy, who has a family looking for her!

Familiar faces bring the dog to life!

When the rescue team called the number on the chip, the respondent was delighted to learn that Truvy was fine. Amy Logan, Truvy’s mother, said they moved to Texas about a year ago, and Truvy squeezed through their new fence. She had been missing for about 13 months by the time she was found.

“[When Truvy went missing,] we immediately went around the neighborhood, walking and by car,” says Logan. “For the next few months, I drove to find her. I have also emailed all veterinary clinics, shelters and rescue groups within 60 miles in case she is picked up by someone other than a local.”

Logan makes sure that the little dog’s microchip is always up to date, but the family begins to lose hope that Truvy will return. So getting the phone call seems like a miracle. When they came to the rescue to reunite with his lost dog, Truvy hesitated but then ecstatic.

In a video of the reunion, Truvy cautiously approaches strangers standing in the doorway. But then she realized they weren’t strangers. When she realized they were who she was, she jumped on top of them with her tail wagging like crazy. She’s wary of her canine siblings at first, though, but Logan says they’ve gotten along well once they’re both at home.

Without her microchip, Truvy might never have found her family! So Nicholas Pet Haven is reminding dog parents to keep their dogs’ microchips up to date.
