Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23+, S23 and Galaxy Book3: Specifications, Price, Release Date

Not much has changed with the other cameras on the phone. The main camera is paired with a special 10-megapixel telephoto dual camera with 3X and 10X optical zoom, as well as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. While the hardware hasn’t changed much, Samsung claims you’ll get better photo results thanks to improvements in its image processing algorithm. Specifically, all the new S23 phones are treated with an “advanced object-based AI” scene analyzer that can automatically adjust the lighting in the scene, reduce noise, and detect other flaws that need improvement. .

The S23 and S23+ feature a new 50-megapixel main camera, which is said to offer four times the dynamic color range of the old camera. All of these phones also have a new 12-megapixel selfie camera (up from 10-megapixel) with better autofocus.

Bizarrely, two of the more interesting photo extras are in Samsung’s Expert RAW app. The app allows fine-grained control over the camera’s settings and still takes advantage of some support from Samsung’s image processing models. It’s now easier to access the camera app directly—Expert RAW was previously a completely separate app—and there are two new modes: Multiple Exposures and Astrophoto. The former allows you to take multiple photos and stack them on top of each other for interesting artistic effects. The latter allows you to adjust the camera’s settings when you’re trying to capture the stars, such as extending the long exposure to 10 minutes. Working with RAW images requires some more powerful software, so Samsung says it is working with Adobe to provide a professional application. light is the default editing software on the phone.

All three phones will receive four Android OS upgrades (they launch with Android 13) and will receive monthly security updates for 5 years, which is still one of the best software policies you will find in Android land. Prices for the handsets have not changed. The Galaxy S23 Ultra starts at $1,200the S23+ is 1,000 USDand S23 is priced at 800 USD. both Galaxy S23+ and S23 super now offers 256 gigabytes of internal storage for base models—models only S23 sticks up to 128 GB. They are currently available for pre-order and go on sale February 17.

Three new phones and… No. 5 new laptop. Samsung’s new line of Galaxy Book3 laptops includes Book3 ($1,000), Book3 Pro ($1,450), Book3 360 ($1,300), Book3 Pro360 ($1,900)and Book3 Ultra ($2,400). All of these laptops are powered by the latest 13th generation Intel processors. All screens have a 16:10 aspect ratio, and the Pro and Ultra models feature Samsung’s AMOLED screen technology with 3K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. All of them are available for pre-order now and they will go on sale on February 17th.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra

The “Ultra” brand makes the leap for Samsung laptops. This new addition to the Galaxy Book series comes with 13th Gen Intel Core i7 and i9 chips (45 watts) and Nvidia’s new 40-series mobile graphics card. Companies like Asus, Lenovo, and HP have been making these powerful laptops aimed at content creators for a while now, so it’s exciting to see Samsung enter the field. Ultra smartly removed the thin and light priorities that have defined the Galaxy Book lineup, measuring 16.5mm thick and weighing 3.9 pounds. The new 16-inch 3K AMOLED 120 Hz display supports HDR and is not a touchscreen. It’s also Zoom-friendly, with a 1080p webcam and “studio-quality dual microphones” with active noise cancellation.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro

The rest of Samsung’s laptop lineup remains largely the same as last year but with updated specs as well as some size changes. The Galaxy Book3 Pro, powered by a 28-watt 13th Gen Intel Core i5/i7 chip, is now available in 14- and 16-inch screen sizes. Both screen sizes still offer 3K resolution and have the same AMOLED panels as the Ultra. These are the thinnest and lightest models in the lineup—the 14-inch model is just 11.3 mm thick and weighs 2.58 pounds. Appearance has not changed much compared to the previous version.

This year, the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 is only available in the large 16-inch size, and you can choose between a Wi-Fi or 5G model. You’ll find the same new 3K AMOLED display on other models, but this one is touchscreen. All “360” versions of Samsung’s Galaxy Book feature a touchscreen with a hinge that allows you to flip the screen on the back to use the laptop as a tablet. Therefore, it makes sense that the S Pen stylus is included with this model; it magnetically sticks to the front of the laptop. The rest of the specs are similar to the regular Pro, with a 13th Gen Intel Core i5/i7 processor.
