Royal Enfield Scram 411
Today Royal Enfield unveiled the Scram 411 and although they call it an all-new model, it is essentially a Himalayan version of the Scrambler. Royal Enfield is calling it ‘Adventure-Crossover’, but, it’s a Scrambler…
The two models share the same engine and similar pegs but the Scram rides 19 inches up front instead of the Himalayan’s 21-inch terrain-friendly rims at the pointed end.
With just 10mm less travel than the Himalayan and just 20mm of ground clearance, the Scram should still be an off-road performer. The 200 mm ground clearance and 180-190 mm suspension travel are still very spacious and ensure the Scram has plenty of ability on rough roads.
The Scram 411 shares the same 15 liter fuel capacity and 24 hp Himalayan engine. The brake system is the same.
So what we have in the Scram 411 is a more modern Himalayan street-style version that uses a small amount of Himalayan off-road performance for better on-road handling thanks to a smaller front rim.
Judging by the Himalayan success, you must expect this to be another win for Royal Enfield in our market. Pricing is yet to be announced but we have been told that the first examples of the Scram 4111 will arrive in Australia sometime in the middle of this year, 2022. The Himalayan is on sale from $8390 so one would expect the Scram to be sold at the same price .
