The University of Melbourne is expanding its accelerator program to regional Victoria to support early stage venture innovations by clinicians and hospital partners.

The 12-month Innovation Accelerator will be implemented in partnership with the regional health network Bendigo Health. It seeks to engage healthcare professionals in the region to turn their ideas into commercially viable medical technology solutions for patients and healthcare providers.

Horouta Pharmacy is enhancing health delivery in rural East Coast or Gisborne regions using HealthSoft’s RxOne pharmacy platform.

The Gisborne-based pharmacy recently secured a contract from Te Whatu Pra Tairawhiti to provide rural East Coast pharmacy services. It plans to improve drug delivery through multiple remote drugstores and expand digital connectivity and support to patients in rural areas.
