Sample flights

This deal allows you to fly to a wide range of European cities from airports across the United States. Most premium economy fares in this deal range between $1,000, but there are a few that fall between $600 and $800.

Here are some of the cheapest SAS flights to Europe we’ve flagged:

  • Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Copenhagen Airport (CPH), starting at $653.
  • Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN), starting at $653 (including transfers).
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Aarhaus Airport (AAR) in Denmark, starting at $670 (including transfers).
  • EWR to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), starting at $694 (transfer included).
  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Zurich Airport (ZRH), starting at $702 (including transfers).
  • BOS to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), starting at $703 (including transfers).
  • Miami International Airport (MIA) to Helsinki Airport (HEL), starting at $742 (including transfers).
  • ORD to Oslo Airport (OSL), starting at $743 (including transfers).
  • MIA to CPH, starting at $753.

We recommend using Google Flights to determine your availability. Then, book tickets directly through the airline’s website. If your flight has been delayed, canceled, or changed, direct airline bookings tend to be much more reliable than bookings from third-party booking sites.

For many of these SAS flights, the price on Google Flights is lower than any of the prices advertised on the SAS website. For example, Google Flights shows a fare for a November 21-November 28 flight to Zurich as $667 because of the wide range of third-party booking options. The price on the SAS website for such a ride is $702.

The flight to Zurich departs Chicago at 10:05 pm and stops in Copenhagen. The return flight to Chicago leaves Zurich at 10:20 a.m. and also has a stopover in Copenhagen.

The airline’s premium economy class ‘Plus’ option offers more legroom, three-course meals and in-flight Wi-Fi, among other perks. SAS Plus also allows passengers to use the airline’s airport lounge and priority boarding.

None of the four flights to and from Zurich have a price list attached, so you can choose your seat without paying extra in SAS premium economy class.

You can also opt for extra luggage for $85. However, keep in mind that Plus fares already allow one checked baggage and one carry on.

Maximize your purchases

When booking flight tickets, remember to use your reward points card when buying flight tickets like Platinum Card® from American Express (5 points per dollar on airline tickets booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel), up to $500,000 for these purchases per calendar year, Citi Prestige® Card (5 points per dollar on airfare), Citi Premier® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve (3 points per dollar on airfare), American Express® Gold Card (3 points per dollar on airfare when booked directly with the airline or through Amex Travel) or Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (2 points per dollar for travel).
