Rood & Riddle Day Set for Holiday Hats


Presented by Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, Hats Off Day on Saturday, July 30 celebrates the impact of the equine industry with a free admission day to Lexington-based Kentucky Horse Park. Now in its 19th year, Hats Off Day offers family-friendly activities starting at 3:00 p.m. including horse and pony rides, an interactive educational pavilion, and a Grand Prix dance competition . Free hats provided by area horse farms and businesses will be distributed at the entrance, while supplies will run out!

Sponsored by the Central Bank and other industry leaders, Hat Day is the only day of the year with free admission to the Kentucky Horse Park and serves as a fundraiser for the Kentucky Horse Adoption Center and the Public Foundation. Starting at 7:30 p.m., the highlight of the event was the $50,000 Rood & Riddle Kentucky Grand Prix, a 26-year-old tradition that attracts horses. and world famous racer.
