Rohit Sharma ruled out of Edgbaston test against England, Jaserson Bumrah in the lead: Report

Jasosystem Bumrah is poised to be the first speed racer to lead India in Test Cricket since Kapil Dev. PTI news agency reports that Rohit Sharma has been dropped from Edgbaston’s test for Britain after testing positive for COVID-19 for the second time and Bumrah will lead India in a decisive series on Rohit’s absence. , news agency PTI reported.
Rohit initially tested positive for COVID-19 during India’s match against Leicestershire. He scored 25 runs in the first inning of the match but failed to appear in the second after the test came back positive.
Team India trained at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Wednesday and reports suggest Rohit did not come out to practice.
India led the Test series ahead of England with a score of 2-1. Rohit previously led India to a 2-0 home win over Sri Lanka this year. If he recovers in time for the Edgbaston game, it will be his first test match as captain of the Indian team away.
India led by Virat Kohli led England 2-1 last year but the fifth and final test had to be canceled due to the Covid outbreak in the Indian camp. BCCI and ECB have decided to reschedule the remaining Test match this year.
