Rishabh Pant Reveals Why He Decided Not To Use DRS Against Tim David In DC vs MI IPL 2022 Match

It was a heartbreaking loss at the end for Delhi Capitals as they blamed themselves for not reaching the knockout stages of IPL 2022. It all started when their top team failed to get off to a solid start against Mumbai. Indians on Saturday, resulting in under par for a total of 159 runs. But their pitchers got them back into the game. The match saw a pivotal moment in the 15th round of Mumbai as captain of Delhi Capitals Rishabh Pant decided not to review the decision of the referee on the field.

Mumbai Indians’ great success Tim David seems to have passed the first delivery he faced the game of bowling Shardul Thakur. But the umpire on the field did not give it. With two reviews up their sleeve, everyone expected Pant to take the DRS since he was the one who appealed vehemently from behind the tree.

But after a brief chat with the bowler and his teammates, Pant decided against it. Replays showed a spike on UltraEdge, and Pant knew he had made a big mistake.

David scored 34 vital runs in almost no time and set up a five-goal win for Mumbai that knocked Delhi out of the tournament.

After the match ended, a depressed Pant revealed why he didn’t go take a look.

“I thought there was something but the people standing in the circle weren’t convincing enough so I asked them ‘should we go up’ and in the end I didn’t comment,” Pant said.

Delhi Capitals has never won an IPL title but the team has reached the knockout stages in the past three seasons. But that won’t be the case this time.
