Riot continues Arcane celebrations in League of Legends this week

NS League of Legends The Arcane animated spin-off series premieres on Neflix this weekend, giving fans a glimpse into Jinx and Vi’s rather dark beginnings. Over the past week or so, the developers have also been celebrating the show’s arrival in other games, with Jinx-themed Valorant skins and even crossover with Fortnite. Festivals are happening this week in League of Legends and Legends Of Runeterra as well as with “interactive experiences”, new game modes and more.

In a blog postRiot says League of Legends players can explore the Council Archives, an “interactive experience where you can learn more about Arcane’s story”. On top of that, if you win a game (or just play three), you’ll unlock the Arcane Jayce skin, which lets you run around as the hammer-wielding boy looks like a childish magical scientist.

Then in Legends Of Runeterra (LoL’s CCG spin-off) you’ll be able to play a new PvE mode called The Path Of Champions. It allows you to go on adventures through Piltover and Zaun (Arcane’s installation) as well as other regions of Runeterra. They also added Jayce as a new champion, along with some new Hextech Guardians and skins. Payment procedures webpage for all the details about this cross tool.

It’s great that they went all out with these celebrations, Arcane definitely deserved them. I’ve found the series to be fantastic so far, and I’ve no experience with the world either (I’ve only played a single League game once that made me sad and angry and haven’t touched it since. there). Stunning animations and screenwriters have made it really accessible to new audiences.

I’m curious, if you played League (or one of the many games set in its world), how did you find Arcane? Did it meet expectations? I’m sure there are already loads of characters and references to capture. I almost wish I had a little bit of pre-watch knowledge to get my hands on a few of those, or just to prepare myself before how dark it all is.

That said, I’m looking forward to the next episodes. Netflix will release them as three series, with the first series available now and the next coming later this week, on Saturday, November 13.
