Liam Waters dropped from Morgan Park results
Round 2 & 3 results also revised
Following the Post-race Technical Inspection, a report from the ASBK Technical Director to the ASBK Race Director confirms a violation of the ASBK Specification 4.26.4 Specification (SSP300) Permitted amendments and Appendix B: R3 Cup Class and Technical Rules – 7.3.1 (for R3 Cup) due to a violation of Engine Components against 181 driver Liam Waters.
As the driver has already passed the Supersport 300 and R3 Cup classes, this violation applies to both the Supersport 300 & R3 Cup classes and all 6 races in the 5th round of ASBK – Morgan Park.
Furthermore, ASBK Engineering Department records show that the same sealed engine was used for all races in the Supersport 300 and R3 Cup at ASBK Round 2, Queensland Raceway and ASBK Round 3, Wakefield Park.
As a result, the drivers listed above continued to be disqualified from all races of both classes in ASBK Round 2 and Round 3 ASBK.
Final results of all Supersport 300 & R3 Cup races at Round 5 of ASBK – Morgan Park, in addition to ASBK Championship Scores for SSP300 & R3 Cup will now be revised by ASBK Main Timekeeper.
The ASBK Main Timekeeper will also revise the results and ASBK Champion Scores for Round 2 and Round 3 of ASBK as a result of this post-race Qualifier.
When the time to object to disqualification has expired, updated results for the Supersport 300 and the R3 Cup will be available on the Computime & ASBK websites. The ASBK Manager will contact the ASBK Management with any new podium locators regarding the trophy presentation.
