Review of One / Size Beauty Blur Balm

What if I told you I’ve never tried anything from One/Size? As an esthetician, it was difficult for me. Aside from the fact that there are barely enough hours in the day to go through all the products in front of me, I to be pretty picky when it comes to my face makeup. Some formulas are too dry. Some are too dim. Some are even too greasy or pill right on my face, and others are just too heavy. So, in general, I stay in my comfort zone (Natural, lightweight formula) and use my Laura Mercier Colored moisturizer ($48), has been by my side since high school. (I’m very vulnerable right now, so I won’t share how many years ago that happened, but let’s say it’s more than I can count on my fingers!)

So I think that’s why Turn Up Base Beauty Blur Balm Foundation ($33) got my attention. It’s a “triple threat” to skin texture, meaning the formula mattifies texture, balances oil, and boosts hydration. It’s made with white rose stem cells, which mattify the skin, create a petal-soft texture, and help control oil throughout the day. It also uses leather-like treated pigments to transform into skin texture for a natural finish. Plus, avocado and mango butter help hydrate and nourish the skin. It seems pretty perfect on paper, doesn’t it? But I know it’s not just for me to decide, so I asked my five fellow editors to put it to the test, and we have mixed feelings!
