Life can seem scary sometimes, but as long as we take it one step at a time, and keep putting one foot in front of the other, we can make it through.
At least, that’s the very important life lesson we can all learn from Louie the dog.
Louie was a stray dog that couldn’t run when he was first rescued. Its owner explained that it was most likely tied to a tree for many years, resulting in its legs not growing as it should.
But, after being adopted into a very loving family, the dog Louie turned the situation around completely. Not only can it walk, run, and swim like other dogs – but it can also climb boat ladders! This feat is impressive enough for a dog, but it becomes a little more heartwarming as you learn about the little white poodle’s past.
Louie’s owner serves in the US Coast Guard and has another dog, a German Shepherd named Winston. With his job, he spends a lot of time on boats and he often brings his dogs with him as well.
As Louie’s owner explained to ViralHog“I am the lucky owner of four German Shepherds in my life. Some have served with me in the USCG. They will all climb ladders in different boats. The boat also has a ‘Dog Ladder’ attached to the stern; The dogs love going up the main steps on the bow. “
The proud dog’s father mentioned how Louie overcame hardship with his feet, learning to live freely like a normal dog after years of being tied up. Louie and Winston had a lot of fun together, with the little dog managing to keep up with the big one!
Despite her small body, Louie has proven that she is not afraid to try new things. He is a very inquisitive little dog that loves to hang out at the beach and dog parks. He’s very active and has given his history, which is all the sweeter to know that the little pup has overcome so many challenges in his life.
As its owner said, “Louie has overcome a lot and proved that if you think Big, you can run with Big Dogs.”
