Remembrance Sunday: Royals and politicians lay wreaths as nation remembers war dead


The Nationwide Service of Remembrance has been held in Whitehall, with royals and politicians laying wreaths for many who have died in previous conflicts.

The nation fell silent at 11:00GMT, as related ceremonies occurred at warfare memorials throughout the nation.

The Queen didn’t attend the service at London’s Cenotaph after spraining her again.
