By Dan Ambrose: Regis Prograis has volunteered to be the alternative opponent for Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis to battle on December fifth rather than Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero.

For Prograis to get the battle with Tank Davis, Mayweather Promotions, Showtime Boxing and his personal promoters would want to comply with it. There’s loads of issues that go into whether or not Prograis would get the battle.
If Mayweather Promotions are afraid of Tank getting overwhelmed, they may not be keen to place him in with a harmful puncher after the way in which he carried out towards Mario Barrios final June.
Tank was in dire bother, and Mayweather himself needed to go in there give him a pep speak after the seventh spherical. It’s not a great signal that Tank is fighting a flawed champion like Barrios as a result of that’s a man that Prograis would seemingly destroy with ease.
