Rapper C Blu arrested for violating probation for shooting NYPD cop
Rapper C Blu is back behind bars for violating his probation a week after applying for bail.
C Blu was ordered back to the Crossroads Juvenile Center in Brooklyn because, after further review of the case, prosecutors found that the gun he allegedly used to shoot the police officer was infringing. his probation in an earlier case, the NY Post reported.
Here’s what they’re reporting:
Williams was on probation in a 2020 gun case when he allegedly scuffled with police officers in Belmont on January 18 and shot the 27-year-old officer. In that case, Bronx prosecutors asked that the troubled teen be held without bail pending his next court date. But Acting Bronx Supreme Court Justice Denis Boyle set his bond at $250,000, which Williams posted Jan. 27 – allegedly with an advance he received after signing recording contract with Interscope Records.
People are wondering why he was released. He should have admitted the violation while he was behind bars.
