The Pokémon The series has quite the market in the palm of its hand when it comes to the quantity and variety of merchandise it has. So no one is going to hit an eyelid with Pokémon nail polish, right?
Japanese beauty brand uk created a line of nail polish inspired by Pokémon. This is the latest in the brand’s ‘Study Series’ collection, which focuses on using color to bring out your beauty, no matter your skin type. There are six different colored paints in the collection, each representing a hugely popular Pokémon. There are three adult colors and three children’s colors – but we say those, and take any color you want!
For the adults, we have a creamy beige for Meowth, a cappuccino for Eevee and a smoky blue inspired by Piplup. It’s all vegan, quick-drying, and contains a serum that moisturizes your nails.
For kids (or kids in the center), there’s a much brighter option. Pikachu is of course electric yellow, Jigglypuff is a shocking pink, while Scorbunny is a sunset orange. Their difference is that they are much easier to remove than regular nail polish, as they are made from a water-based formula that will wash off by soaking your hands in hot water.
They look pretty cute, don’t they? And you should look good for a Pokémon battle anyway. Unfortunately, these don’t come cheap, as they’ll cost you about $22 a bottle. You can buy all six as a set, but you may want to take out a small loan for approximately $145.
The set is only available for pre-order online May 6-11, so at least you have a few weeks to save? Otherwise, the individual 10ml bottles will be available at uka stores across Japan (and online) from May 13. Looks like it’s time to make friends – or hope that these show up on Amazon UK!
