Random: Isabelle escapes the matrix in this Pixar-quality transanimal animation
animator dense worked to create a wonderful and complex story in the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In this story, a gas masked player terrorizes villagers and NPCs like Tom Nook and Isabelle, until, in the end, they decide to fight back.
Latest episodes — a two-part episode titled Reset — handles Isabelle’s journey to find out what the hell is going on after a player wearing a gas mask resets the island to avoid the wrath of the villagers. Poor creatures are sent to other islands, including Pietro, who is sent to a desolate, cursed island to wait for someone who truly enjoys his whole clown thing. We’ll take you, Pietro. We love you.
The second part of Reset is an amazing 26 minutes long and fully animated by hand, with KK Slider interstitial and stunning backgrounds. It’s surprisingly creepy, but Isabelle’s revenge is well worth watching.
So now you know – your Animal Crossing NPCs remember. They remember.
Oh, and Densle isn’t done yet — as a post-production thank you, they ask viewers to “stay tuned” for the movie. Time to catch up on other episodes!
