Paul, a beautiful Greyhound, raced until the racecourses closed in Florida. It was the only life he knew. He, understandably, doesn’t know how to be a house dog. The house itself scared him, especially the stairs.
When Elizabeth and Holden adopted Paul, they vowed to always be patient with him. They know he will face challenges and they are 100% ready to help him through them all. It took time, but soon Paul caught his guard and accepted his new parents’ love. The first day he laid his head on his mother’s side was everything!
Paul reached a major milestone the following summer when his parents brought him home. He was able to play and run as fast as he wanted. Paul had his first case of zoomies, and his parents celebrated by clapping and calling his name! Seeing him run at full speed, because he wanted to and not because of compulsion, is a miracle!
One of Paul’s shining moments was when he found his howl. He has been very quiet up until that point! As Paul’s mother said, “Paul makes the mundane parts of life so much better.” We couldn’t be happier for Paul and his forever family. Check them out in the video below!
