R. Kelly Associate sentenced to 8 years in prison for threatening witnesses
A former associate of R. Kelly was sentenced to eight years in prison for attempting to intimidate a potential witness in the trial against R. Kelly.
Authorities said Michael Williams, who went public for Kelly, went to Florida in June 2020 and set fire to a vehicle outside the home where the witness was staying. They said it was to scare her away from cooperating with the federal government.
Williams’ attorney, Todd Spodek, said that a five-year sentence would be “enough but not greater than is necessary in this case.”
AZRIEL DREAM STORAGE DOWN ON IG LIVE
In April, Azriel Clary, Kelly’s ex-girlfriend and victim, said last year the car was set on fire after she decided to leave Kelly and speak out about what allegedly happened to her.
“I’ve actually never seen anyone post when they were at their lowest. So here’s me at my lowest… Someone not only burned my car at 3 a.m. but they also burned it. creating a gas line around my entire house, with the intention of burning down my entire house. It was something that was premeditated, but the reality is that someone would go to extremes to harm me. horrible,” Azriel said at the time of the fire.
