Public school teachers, students demand extra days off for COVID-19
DENVER —Faculty districts throughout the nation are briefly closing or switching again to distant studying as college directors struggle with empty classrooms, driverless buses and understaffed cafeterias attributable to widespread teacher exhaustion, COVID-19 issues and the Nice Resignation.
Michigan has in latest weeks seen at least eight schools shut down or return to on-line studying due to workers shortages. In Florida, Brevard Public Colleges mentioned Wednesday it would extend its Thanksgiving break, whereas public faculties in Seattle and Portland gave lecturers and students an extra day off for Veterans Day.
