Police are searching for parents of Michigan school shooting suspect

McDonald’s said the suspect’s parents were “immediately summoned” to the school. The prosecutor noted that the suspect altered the note before it was retrieved by the counselor.

“At the meeting, James and Jennifer Crumbley were shown drawings and advised that they had to bring their son in for a consultation within 48 hours,” she said.

The prosecutor said the parents “were not able to ask if their son had a gun or where it was located and were unable to check his backpack for a gun he was carrying.”

Parents opposed the idea of ​​their son leaving school at the time, and they left school without a child, she added. He was returned to the classroom.
