Pokemon Company has disclosure that Singapore Airlines Scoot will receive an officer Pokemon– Jet themed. The aircraft will be called the Pikachu Jet TR, and it will begin its maiden flight from Singapore to Tokyo on September 9, 2022.
Pikachu Jet TR’s costume will feature Pokemon from the first two generations of the series. Lapras, Meganium, Psyduck, Pichu and Celebi will accompany Pikachu in decorating the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The same Singaporean aircraft will also fly to destinations other than Tokyo, such as Seoul in South Korea.
The Japanese press release added that the Pokemon Company will hold more Pokemon events in Singapore. The three-day “Pikachu Weekend in Singapore”, scheduled for November 18-20, 2022, will include a Pikachu night performance at Marina Bay and a Pokemon GO Safari area at Gardens by the Bay.
Singapore will be the second location outside of Japan to officially receive Pokemon livery plane. At the end of July 2022, The Pokemon Company announced that China Airlines of Taiwan will be the first non-Japanese airline to fly Pokemon-plane themed. While the company has previously worked with other airlines such as Hokkaido’s Air Doit started the Flying Pikachu project with the Japanese airline Skymark at the end of May 2022.
Scoot’s Pikachu Jet TR will commence its maiden flight from Singapore to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport on September 9, 2022.
