Pokemon Fans can showcase their social media profiles with selected gym leaders and competitors, thanks to a promotional campaign by the official Pokémon Center Japan Twitter account. It celebrates the release Pokemon Gym leader and coach mascot line luxury, a series of dolls based on characters from Sword and Shield Pokémon.
The avatar release is based on an increase in the number of followers for the Pokémon Center account. Once the target number was reached, the account uploaded a set of Pokemon avatars for everyone.

In total, there are 11 Pokemon avatars to use. They are based on chibi versions of Galar League coaches and gym chiefs Bede, Marnie, Milo, Nessa, Allister, Bea, Gordie, Melony, Raihan, Kabu, and Champion Dande. The icons have the Japanese names of the coaches.
Missing from the list of Pokemon avatars are Opal, the leader of the Ballonlea Fairy Badge, and the Spikemuth Dark Badge, Piers, the leader. Both are also absent from the plush doll line, although no reason has been given to exclude them. Some of the Galar League gym leaders are dedicated to different versions of the game only. Eg, Sword Pokemon owner encounters Bea, while Shield owner encountered Allister. Gordie and Melony are also exclusive versions, between Sword and Shield, corresponding. Nessa, Kabu, Raihan, Marnie, Milo and Dande are found in both versions of the game.
For the Pokemon Trainer Mascot doll the avatars are based on, Sword and Shield trainers and gym leaders available from Pokemon Center Japan online shop for about 1,650 yen each (about $15 USD).
