Okay, so let’s talk about having a plan. Because it can be really hard to stay focused. When you enter the sale period, there are all kinds of truly gorgeous products, calling your name. How do you stay focused?
Absolutely, because honestly, this is my life before. It can be exciting and exhilarating to see all these amazing things on sale, and you just want to get that discounted thrill. But like, you don’t want to just like to buy to buy. And I suffice to say, like my husband, I’ve been trying to control him basically, because this three-point plan that I’m going to work on with you… is famous for being just excited about buying things in the sense. black, because it is so cheap. Then, you know, the next season, it’s still hanging in the closet because it just doesn’t work, you know, for the lifestyle, for the style in general. It’s just not worth it, so we have to be strategic with my three-point plan.
So on that note, first of all, you want to really think about any holes you have in your closet and what could benefit from a refresh. Again, you don’t just buy to buy. We always say this, the editors at Who What Wear: the basics are the real backbone of the wardrobe. They help balance out more trending options. So it’s great to start with the basics, or maybe the items you’ve tested first in the past that you want to refresh because they’re highly wearable and can be great on sale. So things like jeans. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is happening right now—it’s a great deal through July 31, and I think prices will be back to full price on August 1. There’s great Levi’s, like a super sale. . Blazers are something great to look at. Chelsea boots, some of these more classic designs really won’t go out of style and will last a long time.
