PS5 owners will notice a slightly tweaked UI layout, complete with new Trophy cards and additional options – such as a mono audio option for headphones.
PS5 owners in the US and UK can also test drive a trial version of Voice Command. Finally, SIE notes that it hopes to roll out Variable Refresh Rate support on the PS5 in the near future. This graphics feature – popular among PC users – will use dynamic adjustments to enhance the visual fidelity of PS5 games, eliminating issues like screen tearing, input lag, and frame drops Figure. Titles will need to be VRR compliant, and as previously released games may need newly coded patches to implement the new technology.
