At nine years old, Australian shepherd Ivy was the Picasso of puppies, and her generous heart donated the proceeds of her artwork to other dogs and cats in need. help.
Ivy’s love of painting began when her mother, Lisa Kite, realized that her puppy needed a lot of activity to stay happy. First, Lisa teaches clever Ivy how to get drinks from the fridge and how to save money by putting coins in the piggy bank. But Ivy needed more than that. Her poetic soul longed for artistic release, and when a friend suggested Ivy paint, she was instantly intrigued.
A born painter
Looking into Ivy’s beautiful brown eyes, you can see the art in her soul. And in every picture show her works on Instagram, Ivy beamed proudly of her creations. She really is a natural when it comes to art, and this fact amuses Lisa immensely!
“You would think she was walking on the moon, how excited I was when she drew her first work,” says Lisa. People.
Ivy’s artistic career began when Lisa placed an easel on the floor and a custom paintbrush in her hand. Or rather, Lisa shoved the toothbrush into Ivy’s mouth. Ivy started with watercolors and then moved on to Crayola washable paint because, as Lisa shared, “As a mom, I was worried this was going to be a real mess.”
But instead of a mess, Ivy gave Lisa a piece of art. And now the talented artist uses acrylic to create her paintings, which feature a beautiful chaos of colorful brushstrokes brought about by Ivy’s imagination.

Since Ivy is so happy to have found her niche, she and her family are keen to share that happiness with the animals in need by donating the proceeds from the sale of their work. for animal charities. Rumors surrounding Ivy’s painting began when Lisa started an Instagram page dedicated to showcasing Ivy and her talents. Instantly, messages asking about buying items filled her inbox.
Lisa explains: “People from all over the world are buying them – she has been sold to almost every continent. “We even had a waiting list.”
