The life and legacy of Colin Powell, the primary Black US secretary of state, was honored throughout his funeral service on Friday, November 5.

Former presidents, dignitaries and associates gathered for the service at Washington Nationwide Cathedral, which was closed to the general public.

Powell died on October 18 on account of problems from Covid-19 on the age of 84. Although he was absolutely vaccinated towards Covid-19, Powell, who had a number of myeloma and Parkinson’s, was immunocompromised, placing him at better threat to the virus.

Coronavirus security measures might be adopted to guard the well being of the attendees, in line with the cathedral, which has hosted the funerals of prime Washington officers and public servants.
