Peru earthquake: 7.2 magnitude earthquake shakes south of country | World News
According to the United States Geological Survey, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake has shaken southern Peru.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
The quake struck around 7:22 a.m. local time in the Tirapata region and 8.1 miles (13 km) southeast of the center of Azangaro.
It is quite deep about 135.3 miles (217.8km) below the surface.
The US Tsunami Warning System said no tsunami warnings were issued.
Earlier, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) estimated the quake to have a magnitude of 7.
