Party still going after Albany’s big victory
If you are in Racecourse Saratoga August 26, you’ve seen quite a few winners’ circle parties after the $250,000 Albany run. Connections of Bossmakinbossmoves a little more excited after their New York hybrid won the 1/8 mile race for 3-year-olds
“We have a great, very passionate group of people who are really passionate about Clear Stars Stable,” said coach Rick Schosberg. “Shoot away, they’re cheering for the third run at the Aqueduct in the middle of winter. When something happens, the emotions really run high.”
Schosberg is also part of the group that owns Bossmakinbossmoves, along with Miter Box Stable.
The corporation bought Bossmakinbossmoves, son of Laoban at the 2-year-old Fasig-Tipton Midlantic in 2021 training sold for $75,000.
“It was a really good group of people,” Schosberg said. “It’s great to see one of the horses we bought at a sale grow into a stallion. Last year, a 3-year-old state horse owned by the same group—A Bit o’Irish Sass —Reach $75,000 New York Oaks at Finger Lake.
The win over Albany is the first victory of Bossmakinbossmoves after 8 matches this year. He came out 6-1 against Albany, the longest of the four horses in the race. He and runner Irad Ortiz Jr won by three races.
“We have a 3-year-old horse that has established itself as one of the top 3-year-olds in New York,” said Schosberg. “It’s very satisfying. We’ll have a lot of options available to us.”
