Pay attention to all the heroes of Overwatch! Overwatch 2 will launch on October 4 on PS4 and PS5 as an always-on, free-to-play experience. Team up with friends on PlayStation and enjoy reimagined 5v5 gameplay with all new content rolling out seasonally. Daily challenges and regular updates mean there’s always something new to play.

Overwatch 2 Roadmap

October 4 – Part 1

Full of new content

Overwatch will continue to grow and expand with regular seasonal content rolling out every 9 weeks. And, starting in 2023, we’ll delve deeper into the Overwatch world and the heroes that live in it with new narrative experiences and updated PvE gameplay.

With the new Battle Pass system, you’ll be able to unlock themed cosmetic items and complete weekly challenges for unique rewards. Instead of relying on Loot Box luck, you’ll be able to choose how you want to invest and develop new content each season.

With progression boost enabled, all your unlocks, progress, and prizes will be seamlessly transferred to whatever device you’re playing the game on.

Join the fight to new destinations

Overwatch 2 will be an authentic global experience. Toronto, New York, Rome, and Monte Carlo will arrive in the game on October 4, along with two brand new maps.

Fight through the streets of Rio, the iconic Brazilian city and home of everyone’s favorite DJ Lucio. And travel to Portugal, a new Push map that takes players to another vibrant and inspiring environment to experience new game modes. Overwatch 2 will be rolling out more maps on a regular basis, so there will always be somewhere new to fight.

Competition 2.0

Along with the aesthetic updates, Overwatch 2 will also launch with a remastered competitive gameplay.

The reimagined scoreboard system will provide players with more detailed information during matches as well as post-match action reports.

Skill ratings will not update immediately after each match, but must wait up to seven wins to evaluate and update. And instead of numerically ranking skills, each skill level will contain five sub-levels ranked from highest to lowest.

Overwatch 2 Beta

Can’t wait until October? Starting June 28, immerse yourself in the Overwatch 2 Beta.
