this week PGA . Tournament go north of the border for RBC Canada Open. The event will be held at Oakdale Golf & Country Club in Toronto.
This will be the first time the tournament is held in Oakdale. The track is a par-72 that is 7,264 yards long.
Rory McIlroy are the defending champions and have won the last two tournaments, the 2019 edition champions, with the 2020 and 2021 tournaments canceled due to COVID-19. McIlroy opens as the favorite to win (+450 at FOX Bets) and remove three potential peatlands.
A few quick notes. With the US Open next weekend, this tournament won’t be full of top golfers. And, in bigger golf news, PGA Tour agrees to merge with LIV Golf. How that affects player focus and mentality this week and moving forward remains to be seen. For now we can only keep the train moving.
